Platform Sunset Migration

Your host or platform has announced an end-of-life or sunset. You need to move to Shopify (or another platform) before support or hosting ends—often on a fixed timeline.

Merchants on legacy or discontinued platforms, older versions of Magento/PrestaShop no longer supported, or hosted solutions that are closing (e.g. a builder or cart shutting down).

What to Do

• Lock the timeline: know the last date you can export or access the old store.
• Export or connect: use an automated migration tool (e.g. Cart2Cart) if your platform is supported; otherwise use any export/API the vendor provides.
• Move data to Shopify and set up redirects so you don't lose SEO when the old site goes dark.
• Go live on Shopify before the sunset so you're not without a store.
